The Integrated Enterprise Modeling (IEM), which is developed at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology Germany, is an enterprise modeling method used for the admission and for the reengineering of processes both in producing enterprises and in the public area and service providers. Meanwhile, Fraunhofer IPK also develops a modeling software tool for IEM, called MO~2GO NG.Since, to evaluate the correctness of an IEM model manually will cost a long time and it is also difficult to guarantee the validity and integrality of the evaluation results, this paper presents a model correctness evaluation approach based on IEM's own feature and shows a software tool for IEM according to this approach. First, based on the IEM constraints for every model elements and the relationship among them, the model correctness issues will be classified into different categories. Then, according to the problems occurred in the different applications of different enterprises, to bring forward different customize issues and give the way of define this kind of issue. Finally, make reference to some existing theories, methodologies, such as simply-linked linear list, unilaterally connected traversal theory, spanning tree in graph theory, connectivity in graph theory, Finite-State Machine theory and Fundamentals of Compiling, etc. This paper will show a software tool for IEM correctness evaluation, which is implemented based on this approach, at the last chapter. This software is developed by Java and involved XML and DOM technique in it. By applying this software tool on several real modeling projects, the feedback shows that almost all the inconsistencies defined in this paper can be checked rapidly and accurately. Meanwhile, user can track back to the exact elements which cause the inconsistencies and correct them to make the model better.
