MBMS Synchronization Research And Implementation Among RNCs Based On TD-SCDMA

Facing to a situation that the video traffic switch slowly among RNCs, China Mobileconsiders synchroniza tion among RNCs as an important requirement to TD-MBMS property,to improve network quality of TD-MBMS.The paper introduce s the development of TD-SCDMA system at home and abroad, thecomposition of UMTS system, configuration and function of HSPS and HSPS_IUC module .Based on 3GPP protocols, an analysis of the key technologies and principle in MBMSsynchroniza tion is presented. Such as synchroniza tion of data, time, bearer setup and release,resource consistency, and frame of synchroniza tion, interface principle . Focused on the flowsof MBMS synchroniza tion designed on HSPS_IUC. MBMS session setup, synchronousbearer setup, MBMS session stop are included in SRNC process. MBMS sessionsetup(Muticast bearer setup success. Under failure condition of the setup muticastbearer,singcast bearer setup success), MBC response fail, Iu Sccp release,MBMS session stopare included in DRNC process. As to the process, the fuction of TD_MBMS on HSPS_IUCbased on C is achieved . Unit test cases are designed according to test specification of ChinaMobile. Cases test is done with IBM Rationa l Test RealTime and white box testingmethodology. All the codes of MBMS Synchronization are covered in the test cases. All bugsare modified.Test results show that all messa ge flows have already completed,code flows havevalida ted and all passed by software simulation of China Mobile.
