China is a great coal-producing country, but there exist some problems in safe coal mine production (the mine fire, gas explosion, etc.), resulting in a large number of casualties and property losses. Gas explosion, one of the major natural disasters, poses a serious threat to safe coal mine production, and directly influences the healthy development of production and construction of the coal industry. However, A number of gas explosion accidents and injuries, which caused great losses of casualty and property, resulted from Irregularities due to many workers' lack of gas knowledge and safety awareness, are entirely avoidable. Implementing coal mine gas management effectively and putting an end to gas and coal dust explosion has always been a major task of coal mine safty. The mine staff need security education to understand the features and principles of the gas explosion to ensure their safty, which need a specific experiment equipment.In this paper, an intelligent gas explosion experimental system is designed according to the principles of gas explosion. The paper firstly describe the significance of the system,development status,and gas explosion mechanism.Then the structure ,the system hardware circuit,upper and lower computer software design and temperature fuzzy controller are presented detailly. The system is divided into two major parts: upper and lower computer, the latter is equipped with single-chip as microprocessor, control and collect information of concentration and temperature of the gas through sensors. The temperature module, in which fuzzy control mode is used to make the system more accurate, is an important component of the lower computer. with Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 as a development platform, upper computer software communicates with the lower computer and realize control of the sysytem. The system can simulate the instantaneous gas explosion, slow explosion, and coal dust explosion, test and observe the situation according to the temperature,which can help coal mine safe education. Through hardware and software debugging, the system achieved the desired results.
