With the continuous development of embedded technology, the embedded system has been widely used in civil, military, and other communities. Meanwhile, the lack of universal data interface used in the active weapons and equipment has become the bottleneck of their informationization. Therefore, It is necessary to develop a portable data storage and transferring system with small size, low power consumption, and good compatibility by employing embedded technology.In chapter one, the background and purpose of developing the system are explained firstly. The related techniques and requirements are briefly described secondly. The main work of the thesis is introduced finally.In chapter two, after the analysis on the characteristics of the equipment and the requirements of the army, we proposed a scheme of the data storage and transferring system based on embedded system. Then several key technical issues have been discussed in-depth during the designing process of the system.In chapter three, by on-line measuring and data analyszing, the timing of the original equipment interface and the communication protocols are illustrated. Based on the results, a data collection system with large-capacity RAM cache and ARM-controlled interruption is implemented by employing FPGA.In chapter four, an embedded software platform is developed based on the U-Boot; a file managing system is transplanted; a USB storage device with onboard large page NAND Flash storage and remote data transmission is implemented.In chapter five, the test experiments on equipment functions and performance are carried out. A simulating circuit is designed, and thus the functional test, single equipment simulation test, and network test are carried out in the laboratory. Also the fielding experiments are done. The test results show that the performance of the designed system reaches the requirements.The system has been tested in the fielding experiments during the weapon training process, and successfully applied to the surveillance of the operational data and the replay of the training scenario for a weapon equipment.
