Mill &Sons refers to James Mill and John Stuart Mill. In this paper, study of thought of freedom of the press of Mill&Sons thinking is mainly on James Mill's book"Liberty of the Press"and John Stuart Mill's book"On Liberty". The thought of freedom of the press is closely linked with private rights, and the thought of freedom of press of Mill&Son as a classic template of thought of West freedom of the press, plays an important role in West freedom of expression system, promoting the development of press freedom in the modern times, having a great impact on the field of information and politics and society.
