| With the abundance and diversification of the information technology and the information resources,the reader's information needs become diversified and personalized.It raised an important task for library's innovative development:how to provide the novel and convenient services for the readers. As the "savior of the network information", RSS, features in its personalized custom-made, automatic updates, media equality, the promotion of exchanges and so on, will become a powerful tool for digital library to provide information services.Basing on the RSS technology studies, this paper puts forward the system design and implementation of library information publication and subscription. RSS readers can interface to multiple sites'information through the realization of subscriptions. In the development of the system, the system has been subdivided to two subsystems:the management centre and readers subscription center to achieve system function. The management centre subsystem takes multi-level management model, managers ate authorized different management authority According to their different duties. This subsystem can achieve the following functions:administrator access setting,readers information management,RSS Feed's subscription statistics,RSS Feed's publication. In which RSS Feed's subscription statistics use of graphics output,RSS Feed's generation is based on templates. RSS Feed's adding and management are realized by deploying basic information. In the readers subscription subsystem, reader can access the subsystem by login, reader can also Apply for registration, and the information is saved for RSS Feed' subscription and management. For the convenience of RSS Feed'reading, in the readers subscription center module, the RSS Feeds are being analyzed,stored and finally "push" to readers, RSS Feed web access is implement.This system makes one-step subscription realized, and can afford more convenient, fast,focused and efficient service to readers. |
