The height measurement sensor is brought forward based on plane measurements of trace recording vehicle. No matter the distance of the measured points, it can measure height signals directly. Thus it can avoid the problem that the measurement error arises with the increase of distance; it also reduces measurement error and improves sensor precision. The sensor is mainly applied for railway measure, and can play a role in detecting the building, or detecting of ships, aircraft attitude.The operating principles of the sensor are described.the paper also analyzes the success which has been acquired in the early experiments. Based on them, the paper puts forward a distributed measurement system. The technologies in some fields including computer, control, communication, network and circuit design were used.that enable a comparatively rich functions in monitor and control, in addition to stable performance and friendly interface.Research content includes the research on hardware of node, software both running on node and on PC for monitor and control. MCU which used for these nodes are STC5410, PC can read real-time sensor information of node through 485 bus by software. Through remote control, PC can collect information of nodes via 485 bus, this system is a universe product that can also be used in varied situation with different sensors. At the end of the paper, the author does some basic experiment; this proved the feasibility of plans and practicality of the sensor.
