Highway path recognition toll system based on dual-mode RFID is toll system applied in highway network, it uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to achieve the path accurately identify. With the development of China's highways increasingly complex network structure formed, the road network to improve operational management toll system has become an important need. Sections in a complex network structure, the road between two points often has a number of alternative paths, which resulted in highway toll operations in a major challenge, as multi-path recognition problem. The traditional high-frequency RFID technology can not be used to identify the application of long-distance, proposed the use of UHF RFID technology to solve high-speed motion state of the vehicle path recognition problem, the use of non-contact logic encryption card technology because of the confidentiality of high performance, use UHF RFID mode to identify long-distance path, HF RFID mode is used to charge, construct the highway path recognition toll system based on dual-mode RFID, provides an effective method to resolve the highway toll operators in the multi-path recognition problem. Mainly study of the long-range UHF RFID reader System hardware design, antenna design and software design. We have designed the overall plan of the system, described the designed of these modules in detail: control module, RF module, circularly polarized micro-strip antenna, application software, host computer management software, etc.In the testing of the system,it achieved the purpose to identify the tag and exchange data with it.The performance is stable and reliavble.
