| With the development of RFID technology and the constant expansion of highways, apply a highway toll collection system with RFID technology is the current trend. As the highway become a huge net,it comes a age of unified fee and split the fee for owners. This requires a electronic toll collection system based on path identification. This master dissertation presents a creative toll collection system based on technology of dual-mode passive RFID tag, developed a dual-mode RFID reader. This dual-mode passive RFID tag reader contains two kinds of Radio Frequency Identification model. One is the 13.56MHz Radio Frequency Identification model. It is close-coupled non-contact logic encryption card reader technology. The other is the 915MHz Radio Frequency Identification model.A moving RFID tag can be identified in a lang-range.This reader can exchange data with a type of passive dual-mode RFID tag. That is a complex RFID tag operated on the frequency of 13.56MHz and 915MHz. The reader can reliably read and write the dual-mode passive RFID tag in a short distance. On the hardware design,a ARM7 microcontroller is used as the main controller of the RFID reader. It constitutes the control module and the communication module. The 13.56MHz RFID module is designed with a RFID chip MF RC500 developed by NXP.And the 915MHz RFID module is designed with a RFID chip AS3990 developed by Austriamicrosystems. The software features include system initialization, communicate with the PC,control two mode of the RFID reader, control the reader to read and write the RFID tag.The dual-mode RFID reader is designed with modular design method. It is Miniature, high integrated and realiable. In the testing of the system,it achieved the purpose to identify the tag and exchange data with it in a short distance. The performance is achieved and it is stable and reliavble. |
