The Design And Implementation Of UPS Monitoring System Based On Embedded Web Server

Since the requirements for the entire power supply system with UPS as the core are higher in availability, maintainability, manageability, and scalability.UPS monitoring should be developmented in the intelligent and the network area. The traditional artificial way of the management waste a lot of human and financial resources, the management model can not be cross-platform, poor user-interface and maintenance deficiencies, and how to manage these devices effectively became a worthwhile study.With the development of embedded technology and the Internet, Internet-based embedded remote monitoring technology has been spread in the field of industrial.Embedded web server-based B / S Monitor is developed under this background, it is easy to constructe, platform independence and a better user-interface. those features could supplement the traditional defects, reduce costs, and improve the efficiency of UPS monitoring.This paper describes the reserch background and significance first. Followed by a discussion of related technologies in embedded systems.and describes the study of the construction of embedded system platform, including the bootloader configuration, linux kernel Migration, and the implementation of root file system.This paper focuses on the design and implementation of embedded web server and UPS monitoring part. Embedded web server mainly Composed by HTTP engine and CGI modules, a detailed study in the I/O multiplexing and tasks processing methods based on finite state machine of the HTTP engine has been done,and the requested tasks in the CGI generation and processing mode.UPS monitoring part includes communication module and control logic module. Communication module focused on the serial communication and the analysis of UPS protocols. In control logic module, a major study of how to combine the embedded web server, implement the task timer System monitoring systems, warning systems, logging system through the CGI program.Finally discussed the application of the system, summarize the functional testing, showing the functional pages, pointed out the reserch work of author and the further research directions.
