The Research And Design Of Embedded Streaming Media System Based On Gstreamer

In recent years,with the development of multimedia technology and network technology,there are more and more embedded network video applications.With a lot of advantages,such as no need to download the entire media file,but download while playing,Streaming Media Technology provides a good solution to taking too long to download multimedia files for traditional network.Especially, embedded streaming media technology becomes more and more popular for its advantages ,such as low cost,easy to carry and use.This thesis studied the design of a prototype system of streaming media.The system selected TI DM6446 ,based on DaVinci technology,as the hardware platform,which was composed with ARM core and DSP core.The Montavista embedded Linux operating system has been tranplanted into the platform.The streaming media system was built based on the most commonly used GStreamer streaming media framework, and chosed H.264 as the video standard.This thesis researched deeply into the packet strategy of H.264 video data and proposed a efficient packaging algorithm,and then,developed a video streaming RTP plugin based on the algorithm.QT/E is the popular user interface development software tools,which is the embedded version of QT.We developed client interface for the core prototype system to build the entire streaming media system in this design.The results show that the design has met the requirements and has good performance.
