Design & Implementation Of Clearing Document Sub-System For FX Captital Market Clearing System

Formerly, we used Globus system to process FX captital market trades,but the system can not satisfy business requirements, so operators had to process FX capital market trades manually. Not only did not confine the efficiency of business processing, but also it increases the operational risk of business people. It became the bottleneck of business development. So we need to develop a new clearing system for FX capital market business processing to resolve this problem. The new system need to make clearing processing automatization, and make the clearing documents generated and sent automatically. It can promote the efficiency of business processing significantly and lower the operational risk. It will afford good conditions to FX capital market business development.The FX capital market clearing system are including four sub-systems:core trading sub-system, cash flow sub-system, clearing document sub-system and accounting sub-system. The clearing document sub-system is the central subject of this paper. It is responsible for generating clearing documents and send them to clearing network. It is composed of three modules:data processing module, format processing module and transfer module. Depending on the three modules co-operating, the clearing document sub-system can STP (straight-through-processing) the documents well. The data processing module generate and store the document data according to the data of core trading sub-system and cash flow sub-system; the format processing module generate document files based on the document data and templates; at last, the transfer module send the documents file to clearing network.Up to now, the FX capital market clearing system is operating well on live. It can satisfy both the functional requirements and the needs on performance. Besides, the system is put on live for oversea branch in Asia, Europe and America. By then, the FX capital market clearing system will be the uniform clearing system for FX capital market in whole bank and play a most important role.Firstly, the concepts of FX capital market and FX capital market clearing system are introduced in this paper. And then the requirements of clearing document sub-system and business processing logic of the four sub-systems of FX capital market clearing system are introduced. At last, It list three implementation schemes for clearing documents sub-system and choose a better one to design in detail and implement.
