A Design And Implementation Of SIP Soft Terminal Based On MVC Pattern

With the development of technology in the network and multimedia area, the business of multimedia communication has become a leading element in the Internet applications. Meanwhile, the technologies of multimedia ternimal has greately developed and the terminals has been evolved from hard-terminal which provides the function mainly based on hardware to soft terminal which provides the function mainly based on software components. One of the key technologies for multimedia soft terminal is signaling. SIP is very concise in the structure, easy to be extended and realized, especially more suitable to access the Internet.The research of multimedia soft terminal based on SIP will be of meaningful practical use.Based on analyzing conventional SIP soft terminal design and related technologies, this paper brings out the design principle by using the reference of layer design and MVC design pattern.This soft terminal implements the function of multimedia communication, makes a separation between interface display and logic functions and improves software reusability and scalability, reflects the software design principle of loose-coupled modules.Firstly, this paper describes the development of multimedia terminal, design ideas and related technologies. And then, it presents a design framework for SIP soft terminal based on MVC design pattern, and introduces the detail design and implementation, including the MVC core module and signaling protocol stack. Finally, the tests of soft terminal function, performance and reliability verify that the soft tetminal complete the multimedia communication function.All of the results indicate that both the research results and design plan, and also the implementation are reansonable and feasible.
