Moving target positioning technology is one of the most valuable electronic information technologies in the twentieth century. with the establishment and improvement of an increasing number of satellite positioning systems, and due to the different satellite positioning systems use different reference systems, time scales, signal frequency and precision, how to select the satellite positioning system or how to integrate satellite positioning systems for the joint data processing will be an urgent need in moving target positioning areas. "Self-Adaptive Mobile Positioning and Monitoring Technology Based on Three-dimensional Scene" (2007AA12Z333), one program of The National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (so-called 863 Program), aimed at implementing real-time positioning of moving targets, intelligent management, communications services, geo-spatial visualization of three-dimensional scene and personalized information services, and building the self-adaptive system for different types of terminal equipment and different modes of communication in moving target positioning.Based on the 863 Program, this paper provides the design of the multi-mode hybrid mobile positioning terminal system with the embedded processor s3c2440 and Windows CE.net operating system. The design in this paper integrates a variety of positioning technology, so the positioning accuracy and positioning scope are both satisfied well. The combination of GPS positioning technology and CDMA positioning technology makes their strengths and weaknesses to be complemented in different positioning environments. In addition, to ensure the terminal can extend and control different positioning systems, this paper designed the positioning data bus, which has data exchange capabilities to every positioning system. This paper gives a brief introduction of the theory of the GPS positioning and CDMA positioning firstly, then provides the design of hardware and software parts of the positioning terminal system with a modular idea. Hardware part includes GPS modules, CDMA module, CAN bus communication module, memory module, communication interface module, power management module and the MCU peripheral circuit module. Software part consists of the transplant of the embedded operating system Windows CE.net and application development of GPS module, CDMA module and CAN bus communication module. The modular idea simplifies the system structure, so that the selection of each functional module is become very flexible, and it is conducive to the maintenance and upgrades of the system.
