Design And Implementation Of Internal Portal System Of The Shanghai Bank

With the rapid development of information technology worldwide, especially the universal use of internet technology, web office can not only save daily cost of a corporation, but it can also improve office efficiency of a corporation, and coordinate with works between different departments. The Shanghai Bank considers above mentioned reasons, and has developed many office application systems, such as financial system, ERP system, office automation system, training system, and CMS,et al.However, as the development of information technology in depth, and the rapid increase of application system, it has caused the following problems:1.Each application has its own domain name or IP address, which results that user must remember more and more domain name or IP address.2.Different system may has different user name and password, which results that user must remember user names and passwords of each system.3.Different systems co-exist independently, without cooperation and collaboration between them.4. The registration of new employee come in or old employee separated must be handled by hand.To sum up, these application systems independent between one another are just like one island, maintaining and using these systems would consume lots of energy of an administrator.Portal system can solve above mentioned problems beautifully.1.It can build a united information platform, which can integrate many different application systems, solve the problem that users must remember user names and passwords of each system. A user now only need remember the domain name of the portal, while other systems can be accessed through the portal.2.To enter different application system, one can first log on the portal, then enter different application systems from the portal directly without logging on each application system separately.3.Applications can be developed in portal, which can corporate different application systems.4.User integration can set up an authoritative database. When there are changes in employees, one can change the authoritative database only, and other systems can update themselves automatically.According to the requirements of the Shanghai Bank, we use Sun Java Enterprise System Portal from Sum as our developing platform to develop the Portal of the Shanghai Bank. The following application systems have been integrated into the portal:CMS,mailing system, OA system, BBS, file sharing system between departments, instant message system, office noticing system.The work of the dissertation is as follows:1.Detailed the requirement analysis, outline design, detailed design, system implementation, system testing process in developing portal.2.Detailed the developing flow using Sun Java Enterprise System Portal from Sum, and listed each steps in developing a portal.3.Detailed the implementation of single sign in portal.4.Detailed the user integration of portal using the mixture platform of Spring, Hibernate, and Struts.5.Introduced the results of work in the portal of the Shanghai Bank.
