With the postal service organizational reform development, postal savings bank and postal express delivery company have operated independently. It is very important that the post how to develop quickly self business. Application of information technology in postal business should be based on postal business and crasis information technology. Specially, the post should attach more importance to the practicability, applicability and efficiently and to maximizing the concentrated integration of internal and external resources based on the postal self conditions. Through the innovation of information technology, it will be able to bring along the innovation of the post operation and management, to convert information technology into productivity and to achieve benefits. Compares with other professions, the post has the rich customer data. But, how to mine these data content and the concealment in the among knowledge, to obtain the customer and improve services level,enhance the postal core-competitiveness. So it is vital and valuable to research on data mining models in postal business.Firstly, the thesis analyzes research background and the data mining technology application present situation of the domestic and foreign, and introduces data mining theory, then according to reality of Jingzhou postal operation, discusses the application of data mining in postal business. Lastly combined the postal operation of data, implemented the postal business models by finishing the association rule mining algorithm, decision tree algorithm and clustering analysis.This thesis mainly includes next three contributions:(1)A mined lot of association rules from transaction, which can be used to reorganize the existed transaction, and lastly provided special business for customers.(2)Applied decision tree algorithm to classify short message customer market, then provided postal competitiveness. On the basis of customer attribute depended relation, progresses appropriate Marketing Management, provides the data support for postal operation development.(3) Clustering analysis in terms of the subscribed to periodical customer, mining potential subscription customers who apply postal business letter to recommend extract periodical. Both promote the periodical operation development, and provide new channel for postal business letter.
