At the first of the paper, the development of optical fiber measurement techniques are introduced, and the main contents of paper and paper structures are described.Then the author decribes the technology that how to control the OTDR equipment by computer, as well as the specific control functions and the commands in detail. Next, the automated test system design concepts and the virtual instrument technology used in the system were introduced, as well as the requirements of system.Then the paper introduces the development tools, the main technical and the condition that how to used in the system. In the next chaper, the implementation of software systems including database design,the main user interface(UI) design and the design of the main flow chart is described in detail.Finally, the paper summarizes the contents and how to improve the system in further research.
