In recent years, with the rapid development of radio systems, the traditionally hardware-based method of wireless communication system design can not adapt to the demand for multi-mode communications, software radio idea came into being. However, the ideal software radio system is hard to achieve in current techniques.So people began to research on software-defined radio (SDR) technology, which is IF-based programmable, digitally accessible and achievable. As a result, the realization of SDR wireless communication systems has important research value and practical value.Firstly, A variety of receivers are discussed. Secondly, the important technical indicators are analyzed. Thirdly, an all-purpose hardware platform for SDR is designed and realized. Fourthly, basic technical indicators of the receiver are verified with the testing equipment. Fifthly, the Audio FM radio signals,Terrestrial broadcast video signals and WiFi signals are received.So the analog front end (AFE) of the receiver is far more practical than a prototype.The design and implementation of a SDR receiver which is broadband and highly dynamic is concentrated primarily on in the dissertation. Broadband concepts and noise optimization method are applied to the design of the SDR receiver. The realization of the receiver has reference value for the design of base station receivers, spectrum analyzers and other applications.More than that, it provides a universal platform for algorithm research on SDR and cognitive radio (CR).
