Military information Security relevanted to national security. In the process of construction of military information, system backup and recovery is the main way to protect the integrity of the system in the information security field, but, the early products of the system backup and recovery are mainly based on ghost technology or backup and restore components of windows operation system. As a product of the construction of military information, they lack of security kernel, good user experience and security of backuped data. The system backup and recovery technology based on hide protected area is a integrated technology combined the system data backup and recovery technology and data protection technology, the product of "Military Terminal protection system" is according to the design of this backup technology, at last, it has been successfully resolved the lacks of early products and has been as a important tool which have our own kernel product for the construction of military information.This paper was based on the research of the Ghost system backup and recovery technology, combined the disk hidden protected area technology and data protection technology, designed HPA space and virtual file system to store the backuped data; using file system filter driver to implement the "after reading to write" technology to ensure the integrity of backup data during the backup process; Reserved a interface into the virtual platform by virsual disk mirror in the backup information saved mode; in software user experience, discarded the operation of ghost under the DOS and absorbed the advantages of operation system backup components. Ultimately, we make a good user experience,stable performance,multi-functional,safe,fast,strong confidentiality and compression rate,good compatibility system backup and restore product based on HPA space by using the knowledge of FAT32 and NTFS file system theory,disk file storage and disk reading and writing technology,file filter driver theory and HPA technology.The main researchs of this thesis include:①Introduced the disk physical structure and logical structure,disk physical addressing mode,the disk operating system boot process and theory,FAT and NTFS file system storage principles,file system filter driver theory and analied the Ghost working principles and did some experiments.②To design and adjust the HPA partition by ATA disk command operation and the knowledge of disk logical structure.③Developed the file filter driver to implement the "after reading to write" technology for the integrity of backup data.④Implemented a superior,small-scale virtual file system to ensure the the normal data storage and read-write correctly in the HPA area base on the advantage of fat and ntfs file system.⑤Finally, implemented the design of product based on the knowledge combined operation system boot theory and the boot process,Hpa and driver technology, and introducted the application of product,evaluated the product between ghost and Ours.The technology this paper presented is based on "Military Terminal protection system" which is a product of Beijing ** company, this product has been used in the construction of military information, and played a positive effect, enhanced the security level of construction of military information.
