Information and network technology has become one of the leading technologies for today's development of science. In the future war, information and network technology will be used more and more frequently. Arming the modern forces with the information network technology will be the general trend. Mines as a common weapon has been widely used in military blockade system. As the needs of future information warfare rise, the traditional mine systems will be difficult to meet the demands of new environment. The future mine systems will be developed into a system based on information network technology, intelligent control and MEMS that is Intelligent Minefield. The mainly used communication networks in the Intelligent Minefield are Ad hoc networks.This article firstly reviewed the domestic and international development of the Ad hoc technical and intelligent minefield. Choose a more energy-saving standards 802.15.4/Zigbee as a network protocol after a detailed analysis of this Intelligent Minefield project requirements. And select TI's CC2520, CC2591 as the wireless transceiver modules and RF front-end respectively and make the design and application of the Intelligent Minefield program on the base.After a brief introduction of 802.15.4 protocol, transceiver CC2520, RF front CC2591, this paper analyzed the needs of this project carefully then made a detailed description of the intelligent minefield hardware, RF circuit design. Compared with previous work, the chip performance of CC2520 used in this paper is better and easier to use compared to CC2420 in the previous programs; Using CC2591 in this program greatly reduces the number of external passive components compared with the previous building the power amplifiers with ATF55143 and discrete components, so this modular design reduces the difficulty of RF circuit design, make it more easy to implement.This Paper makes a comparison of the two programs through detailed analysis including the use of RF simulation tools ADS2005a; it solved several key issues and problem encountered in the hardware development process and have made some analysis about these problems and debugging process.It firstly introduced the transplant ofμCOS-II operating system used by the platform; then introduced the software development enviroment IAR EWARM, finallly introduced the key driver design and development for this hardware platform's communication, mainly including RF initialization, TX, and RX for CC2520, and gave a detailed flow chart.
