Barrier-free Web site is available to all populations, including the disabled. Website accessibility optimization, refers to a certain site planning, design, construction and maintenance of technical specifications and ideas normative role, can adapt to different sites, including disabled persons, visitors, using a different network access devices are able to successfully to obtain needed information. Visual Accessibility Web site optimization, that is, sites optimized through the barrier-free, able to adapt to visually impaired and the normal site visitors.The design of Visual Accessibility Web site is user-centered, and with reference to the first field of accessibility for building design principles, namely, the principles of universal design, analysis of Accessibility Web design needs attention and solve problems. The current internationally recognized web accessibility principles and norms of development based on the visual design of web accessibility needs analysis and goal setting, and thus propose to solve multi-media player in the visual design of web accessibility and the accessibility control problem, we can use SMIL, namely the Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language.Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language is a multi-media manipulation language which prescribes multimedia for the introduction of XML by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). It is a set of simple tag used to define the multi-media clips (including audio, video, animation, images, text, etc.) at any time, any place to play, eventually, a full running on the Web multimedia presentation.The main research content includes:1. Analyze and solve problems of Visual Accessibility Web design on user-centered. Combine with the international web accessibility principles and norms of development to determine the goals of design.2. Propose that Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language (SMIL) can solve the problems of accessibility and controllability in multi-media play when design the Visual Accessibility Web.3. Focus on using SMIL to solve the visual accessibility problem of dynamic image in web pages and using SMIL to synchronize image and audio, or video and audio.4. Use SMIL to design "Picture Carousel" section in web site, and evaluate the effect of web visual accessibility optimization by the W3C-WAI and the U.S. E & IT accessibility standards. Stand on the user's point of view to give evaluation and draw the conclusions, that SMIL is feasible and good for the web visual accessibility Optimization.The result of this research is the successful use of SMIL to optimize the control of multimedia in web visual accessibility, by analyzing the Web visual accessibility needs and the features of SMIL. The research successfully achieves the optimization of the multimedia in web visual accessibility by improving the controllability and openness of multimedia.
