At present, the mobile network has entered the era of 3G; wireless networks provide higher bandwidth for mobile data value-added services to provide a technical feasibility. With the e-mail and SMS text messages universal development of mobile users have been satisfied with these two shortcomings of the application, with the mobile user demand for data services and mobile network technology, multimedia message service came into being.Multimedia Messaging Service (Multimedia Message Service Center, hereinafter referred to as MMS) beyond the limitations of e-mail and SMS (Short Message Service, hereinafter referred to as SMS), and can better meet the needs of mobile users. Contrast to SMS, MMS business support messages containing multimedia, content, the message length is no limit, and that can provide Internet Email and other services interworking; contrast to Email, MMS is more suitable for wireless network environment, through PUSH business, achieved a push to the phone send message notification, to send status reports and read reports, and multimedia message content can be more perfect in the mobile terminal display.Multimedia Messaging Service Center (Multimedia Message Service Center, hereinafter referred to as MMSC), also known as MMS relay server, which is the core of the multimedia messaging system, multimedia information stored and processed, including the input and output messages, address resolution, notice, reports at the same time, responsible for multimedia message transmission between different operations such as MMSC. MMSC also generate business service use records (Call Detail Record, hereinafter referred to as CDR) CDR for billing. In addition, MMSC can connect other network and carry out a variety of value-added services. MMS relay is a system of IP interfaces; the system is connected through its various networks and to support multiple protocols.This article related to the multimedia message service center to conduct in-depth analysis of business processes; in master data caching, message queue technology, clustering technology, flow control mechanism is proposed based on Java-based cross-operating system platform multimedia messaging service center system, using them to for multimedia messaging service platform to provide highly efficient and stable and operational security, and then allow the operator to improve operational efficiency, lower construction costs, improve customer satisfaction.The following aspects were being mentioned in this Paper:(1) Research the business of MMS and analyze MMSC workflow detailedly;(2) Analysis of the key technology for MMSC, research the caching, clustering technology, flow control technology in system applications;(3) Design and realization system architecture for MMSC;(4) Design and realization MMSC's main module;(5) Testing MMSCand analyzing the results.The current 3G network construction has been formed. MMS-related applications, business and greatly expanded the launch of China's mobile data service operators to use the scope to provide a reliable business growth. With the 3G network to further improve, MMS also will be one of its mainstream businesses. Therefore, the multimedia message service for Chinese carriers to strengthen its core competitiveness in the fierce competition in the telecom services market to continue to maintain a superior position to make an important contribution.
