During the two-direction revolution of broadcast industry of China, the "EPON+EoC" transforming mode has become the main solution. The EoC devices are widely used. So the testing of EoC device has became one of the most important things for equipment supplier, because they need to shorten the cycle time in order to reduce the production costs and take the market.As a key part of the EoC device, the performance of network card greatly affects the performance of device. A testing system for receive-performance of wireless network card is introduced in this paper. The system is designed for a certain type of network card. The main contents are follows:1. Analyzed the existing solutions of HFC revolution and device testing system. A new design of testing system which is suitable for the WT series wireless network card is proposed.2. A design for hardware module is proposed through the analysis and compare of exist system. The control of numerical control attenuation which is designed by using NC attenuation chip and physical attenuator is accomplished by using AT89C51MCU.3. Based on the Socket programming model, the whole system is divided into three parts:server, client and link. The communications between server and client are accomplished by using C/C++ language on eCos and VS2003 platform. In order to calculate loss tolerance conveniently, a special data structure is defined and a determining method for receive-performance testing is proposed.4. During the testing process, the communications between PC and MCU is achieved by using the serial ports communicating class. The digital attenuation is controlled automatically and the receiving performance of network card is adjusted automatically.5. The performance of the attenuation is checked by using network analyzer. The reliability and practicality of the system is verified by chariot testing.After being put into practice for a period, the system has already been using in the manufacturing effectively.
