With the development of science and technology, computer technology becomes mature. Its fuction is widely kown now. Computer plays a more and more important role in all the fields of human society. The Computer-Aided Decision System is a kind of application system which is based on DBMS.The development of this system includes the foundation of the datebase and the design realization of several sub-systems, such as decision system, map processing system, document management system, database management system, etc. The Computer-Aided Decision System can offer abundant imformation and a quick means to see about. Thus, the commander can know the changes of battlefields, seize the best timing, choose the best way, set back the strategic intention of enemies, and win the war at last.This thesis is focused on the force mobility of Artillery units at the battalion level and below in the fields.Based on the features of equipments of the Artillery, PLA,using the methods of system modling and computer simulation, this thesis found a Computer-Aided Decision System.Also,in this thesis, several subjects, such as the fundemantal requirement and the implementing of the Artillery Forces Mobility, the criterion of the Artillery Forces Mobility, the math model of the Artillery Forces Mobility, and the Computer-Aided Decision System for Artillery Forces Mobility, have been systematically studied.Based on VB language and Access technology, this system designs and develops five sub-systems, including mobility policy-making system, mapping system,data management system, documents system, and service system. The policy-making system focuses on the mark, calculating, and choice of the routine. The mapping system focuses on the pre-disposal of maps. The data management system stores all the information that the system needs and manage it. The documents system supplies several prepared document templates, so the user can finish the documents easily. The service system offers the instruction and the technical support.The aim of this thesis is to build a human-computer cooperation system, but people oriented. This system can help the commanders and the staff officers make a better decision. Like all the other computer-aided decision system, this system just plays a supporting role. It can not replace people.
