According to the"nuclear and radiation monitoring capacity-building projects II"plan, the 32 standard, continuously automatic radiation monitoring stations will be built as long-term radiation environment monitoring stations in 31 capital cities and Qingdao. Also, more than 68 basic, continuously automatic radiation monitoring stations will be established in other domestic regions. Currently, the equipments used to data collection are Data Taker company's products, Australia, therefore, it is extremely important to develop localization environmental radiation monitor instrument.This article studies on designation of an intelligent probe. In the fist, six probes have been labeled with different numbers. MCU (Micro Controller Unit) and some Electronic component are equipped in the internal of every probe. MCU not only receive the parameter setting data and command from host, but also control the generation of threshold voltage and input value for high pressure module which are required in the process of nuclear signal. In addition, the number of pulse signal appearing in every sampling cycle is recorded by the counter of MCU. After the completion of each sampling cycle, MCU calculates the average dose rate of this cycle, and then the results and the probe number will be sent to the host.Secondly, after receives the data of an intelligent probe, the host identifies the probe through the first byte of data. And then the data is displayed in the corresponding group of probe data page and stored in FLASH. Historical data can be export though USB2.0 and RS232 interfaces which are equipped in the Host.The project also developed an environmental parameter real-time monitoring module. These environmental parameters (including temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall) will help the analysis of the radiation dose rate.The prototype can be used to monitor the real-timeγradiation absorbed dose and environmental parameters. The setting of analog voltage is achieved by digital and a host can identify a number of different modules.
