This system completes cementing task during drilling well procedure, which will impact the whole procedure of Petroleum exploration directly. The quality of cementing must feedback to surface system with some instruments, and this paper analyzes and designs a system estimating the quality of cementing by the theory of acoustic measuring. This design of system is achieved based on theory of amplitude of acoustic, and it includes hardware system and software system, two sections in total. The hardware system is used to acquire data and upload to software on surface. Hardware system is used to handle data which was acquired and plot waveform to user. The hardware consists of three boards, including acoustic transmitting/receiving system, data handling system within DSP and CPU board controlling system. CPU consists of FPGA chip which belongs to company named ACTEL and DSP consists of AD2181 chip which belong to company named ADI. Hardware system will transmit acquisition command which receives from software system to CPU, then CPU board controls DSP to acquire data, and finally send the data to surface software system via serial port. The software puts the emphasis on designing transferring algorithm between RDR file and XTF file and sending command to hardware system. RDR file stores raw data which hardware acquires. These data which is converted to some curves stores into XTF file, and finally software system abstracts these curves and plots the curves to user. It can estimates quality of cementing by these curves. This paper analyzes quality of cementing by acquisition data in a well, and finally estimates the feasibility of the whole system.
