The rapid development of modern electronic technology makes quartz crystal oscillators widely applied in various fields, at the same time, the modern electronic technology swift and violent development to performance of quartz crystal oscillator which is frequency stability, volume, power consumption proposed more and more high request. For adapting this development, a novel kind of microcomputer compensated crystal oscillator(MCXO) is successfully designed which based on AT-Cut quartz crystal resonator and uses a single-chip-microcomputer C8051F061 as its core, in the thesis, it is intoduces in detail that the working principle, system architecture and the software design of MCXO, and the ultimate experimental results prove feasibility of this design.C8051F061 is a small package, high-performance mixed-signal microprocessor, and comes with high accuracy AD/DA module, easy to meet the requirements of precision and miniaturization. The system makes full use of processor resources and give full play to the role of the software, through software and hardware complement each other, saving for a lot of bulky, expensive, high-power devices. Therefore, compared with digital temperature compensated crystal oscillator(DTCXO), MCXO introduced in this paper has many advantages such as simple structure, small size, low power consumption and short start preheating time and has more powerful competition, its composite indicators are:frequency-temperature stability≤±5×10-8 (-40℃-+85℃), size:35×23×10mm3, average power consumption≤60mW, the performance of this MCXO is in the best level in mainland China.
