Safety contact switch is the key safety component of the elevator control system and the performance and reliability of safety contact switch play a very important role in the operation of the elevator. Thus, the detection of safety contact switch is an essential aspect of testing in the security of elevator control system and an important testing requirements before elevator leave the Factory.Performance testing equipment for key safety components of elevator control system is the Special testing equipment to verify whether safety contact switch of elevator meet the requirements of technical specification ,apply to the various performance tests and the reliability tests. This equipment can achieve safety contact switch tests by relevant standards, including e power of motivation and resilience, contact resistance, insulation resistance, voltage test, the number of electrical life and mechanical life test times etc.This paper describes working principle and system structure of the equipment, including design of hardware and software of the control system and the principle and hardware of each test .This system use the IPC and PLC of MicroLogix1500 series of Allen-Bradley to construct the control network structure.For the PLC, Base Unit is 1764-28BXB, Processor is1764-LRP, Module of I/O is1769 - IF4 and 1769 - OF2. PC software use VB as the development platform and achieve management of the system and user , management and control test, management data and information. The database is Microsoft Access, and use ADO access the database.This paper mainly discusses hardware and function implementation of the Safety contact switch detection. Based on the test device and test the actual needs, it describe the test system from four parts, as contact resistance test, operating and recovery test, insulation resistance and voltage test, reliability test. Using Programmable power supply and 5.5-digit multimeter and current switching circuit achieve accurate measurement of contact resistance. Stepping motor and the S-type force sensor compose to measure the power of operating and recovery accurately. 7400-Dielectric Analyzer achieve insulation resistance and voltage test .Using adjustable speed motors and current sensors to achieve mechanical and electrical reliability test.
