As a new network structure, Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) is paid much attention to. Wireless Mobile Mesh Network plays irreplaceable role in some especial environment, so it is widely concerned by researchers and engineers in specialization.The MAC protocol and routing protocol of WMMN are hot topics to many researchers. Wireless Mobile Mesh network has wide prospect, it is typically used in emergency communications and military systems. To meet the requirements, the target of WMMN routing rotocol is fast, accurate, efficient, and good expansibility. WMMN is a new hierarchical multi-hop broadband wireless network which takes the advantages of the traditional network structure, Ad Hoc Network and WMN. It combines concentrate control management and free dynamic networking.The paper elaborates on routing protocol study, simulation, development and WLAN Mesh networking application on the background of the Routing Algorithm Optimization Based On the Backbone Vechicle-Mounted Router Project and the WLAN Mesh Networking and New Business Application Project. A new routing protocol called CL_AFSLS(Cross Layer Adaptive Fuzzy Sighted Link State)is put forward, which is based on cross-layer designed AFSLS(Adaptive Fuzzy Sighted Link State)routing protocol and IEEE802.16d Mesh model feature. After programming, simulating in the NS network simulator version 2 , we have found that the CL_AFSLS routing protocol has a better network performance compared with OLSR, AODV and AFSLS routing protocol without cross-layer design.
