Design And Implementation For Capacity Expansion Of Henan Unicom Fixed Soft-Switch Network

Recently along with the growing of novel communication technologies, the integration of telecommunication technology and information technology has been going faster. The competition among telecom operators is becoming fiercer. The consumer demands have been transforming from communications into contents. Operators adhere to the original business is insufficient to deal with the situation changes. For the healthy, sustainable, stable development, active adaptation to internal and external environment changes and complying with the trends of strategic transformation, Henan Unicom needs to promote actively strategic transformation and speed up the construction of a modern integrated information service provider. Network transition provides technical supports for business and service transition. Keeping on promoting the transition of voice network from circuit switching to packet switching, meeting the market development, expanding network demands and achieving network transition are the pressing requirements for fixed soft-switch network expansion project of Henan Unicom. In this paper, based on the analysis of soft-switch technology and the current situation of Henan Unicom network, we suggested a solution for capacity expansion of Henan Unicom soft-switch network as well as detailed frames and contents, including following four main sections.1, The analysis of the current situation of Henna Unicom soft-switch network.2, The business predictions of the current project.3, Suggestions of soft-switch capacity expansion based on the current network, including soft-switch network, voice network, signaling network, IP bearer network, service implementation methods, network settings, and configuration methods of devices.4, Proposed a solution for capacity expansion of the current soft-switch network, including network management, synchronization, billing, service, device configuration, power supply and other detailed methods.Now the system has been officially applied in Henan Unicom. It is running stably and reliably. It brings large profits for Unicom and great social benefits.
