Net optimization is the main method to improve the resources utilization,ameliorate performance and service quality,boost the degree of satisfaction. CDMA is the key part of mobile communication system. This paper discusses the performance index,step of optimization,content of optimization,testing methods and other element which influence the performance of CDMA mobile communication system.In October 2008, China Telecom accepted and managed formally the CDMA network. In order to improve competitiveness, Shuozhou Branch of China Telecom conducted a large-scale network construction, building 154 base stations in 2009. After that, the entire network changed on a large scale, but there was a substantial increase of interference between base stations, dramatic decline of index and the lower perception for users. Mainly because the CDMA network is a communication systems limited by interference and its capacity is a soft volume. Because of the above, unilateral increase in the number of sites can not solve current problems, and even cause the counterproductive effect. At this point, it is very necessary to optimize network and it can improve network performance, increase network capacity and raise the user's perception from another level. the Shuozhou branch started the local network optimization in June 2009, which last three months and was divided into three stages. Firstly, conduct thoroughly the state and provincial roads, highways, villages and towns of six counties in Shuozhou in the whole network Shuozhou six counties on the road test making use of Dingli's equipment and carry on data collections. Secondly, process the collected data using Dingli's network software of analysis to identify network problems. The paper focus on the rate of dropped calls success calls for the network, analysis the reasons for the declines of these indicators, and address these the corresponding solutions for issues, such as: optimization configuration of adjacent areas, parameter adjustment of base station, angle adjustment of antenna elevation and azimuth, power control. Lastly, after the implementation of the optimized work, carry on the repeated validation of network performance to ensure that network service levels improved significantly.The purpose of this task is to investigate the best methods that can optimize CDMA wireless network by collecting data of network which is in operation and analyzing the data in order to find the cause which influences the quality of the network. The advantage of CDMA is application of power control and soft switch, so they are usually the emphases during base station optimizing. On the other hand, data optimizing is also important and difficult. Covered by the basic situation of the district, network coverage quality and traffic analysis. Applying of existing theory and technology, the basis of pre-engineering to improve the coverage of CDMA networks and optimized networks is practical designed. Makes network capacity, quality, cost-effective, competitive edge to achieve the desired target set, and ultimately meet customer needs of the market.This paper introduces tools used for optimizing CDMA network, and detaily describes the whole process of CDMA network Optimigation, discusses the "call-drop" problems which are usualy happened during optimization, and points out the way to solve it.This paper, based on data collected, compare the network before and after the optimization work carried out in the chart and table, the results show that the performance index were uncommonly enhanced and the user's feedback for the network also confirmed that in the perception. So, it is necessary and important to embark on communication network optimization.
