With the three-dimensional laser scanning technology and equipment in the domestic application of the increasing popularity in many engineering applications showed good technical advantages of science and technology and information industry, another new innovation. But on the point cloud data processing is also lagging behind, on the massive point cloud data, the urgent need for reliable, fast, automated point cloud data processing methods to meet the high accuracy of the data quality and stability of efficient data processing requirements, therefore, ground data processing three-dimensional laser scanning technology research, and form three-dimensional laser scanning system for point cloud data processing theory is necessary.In this paper, three-dimensional laser surface scanning technology and its domestic and international development compared to traditional measurement techniques used in surveying and mapping in the field of laser scanning technology advantages of the multi-viewpoint three-dimensional cloud of stitching methods and laser scanning system error.Point Cloud is a three-dimensional laser scan data processing ground focus and hot spots, point cloud data processing is a key work.
