As information technology advances, the construction of border defense in Yunnan is being informationized, and making for strong demand of equipment update. At present, a cable video monitoring system is high-cost, difficult to set up, and the monitor performance is undesirability due to complicated nature and geography environment. So the number of such system in use is very rare, thus there have been some private channels cannot be managed effectively. Existing border control system based on"Beidou"satellite network has only solved the patrol's needs in navigation and information communication, the border dynamic monitoring has still used manual methods. Then, building a new wireless, self-monitoring border control system has become an important task. However, wireless sensor networks integrated sensor technology, embedded computing technology, modern network technology, wireless communication technology, and distributed information processing technology, with low cost, easy deployment and broad application prospects in real-time monitoring, bring an opportunity to solve this problem.Wireless sensor network technology displays particular superiority in the border monitoring. All sensor nodes can self-organize a network, and detect infrared, pressure, sound, vibration signal from the surrounding environment with build-in multi-sensors. And it is easy to construct with no need for other support. Sensor nodes are inexpensive enough to be densely deployed in the long border, so they can obtain more accurate border dynamic information. In addition, energy-efficient wireless sensor network can meet the need of permanent continuous monitor. This paper attempts to build a highly-intelligent, efficient border information monitoring system based on ZigBee sensor networks and"Beidou"satellite positioning system. Major research work includes the following:First, it proposes a satellite sensor network with clustering and heterogeneous architecture for border information monitoring, and designs an efficient node mode based on wake up on-demand and rotation.Second, hardware and software design of the sensor nodes. It chooses CC2430 RF chip and low-power consumption microprocessor, and allows cooperative monitoring with a variety of sensors.Again, it designs a satellite sensor network positioning mechanism. Widely distributed beacon nodes are got depending on satellite positioning module (or manual calibration), and the correct position of other nodes is achieved using Triangle Centroid Location Scheme based on Multiples Overlay (MOTCLS).Final, it designs an Energy-aware and Location-adaptive Routing Protocol (ELRP). In ELRP, the node's residual energy and location information are combined in the cluster head election, and data collection in sink node mobility is properly supported by self-adapting routing.
