In recent years, so many coal mine safety accidents happen in China, which has caused heavy casualties and economic losses, bringing a heavy pain to many families. Accident analysis shows that most coal mine safety accidents due to real-time data can't be collected timely and accurately, leading to fail warning based on data and rescuing after disaster by the ground command center. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a mixture by sensing, computing and communication technology, which can usually functioned by a large number of intensive low-cost sensor nodes, it forms a system of multi-hop ad-hoc networks by wireless communication, so as to collaborative work, real-time awareness, access and process information. We use wireless sensor network to acquire data in coal mine safety monitoring, which has some value of academic significance and industrial applications. In this paper, we mainly research the problem that coal mine data can't be collected timely, accurately and comprehensively by ground monitoring command center. The main research works are as follows:(1) Based on the actual situation of Coal Mine and the key technology of wireless sensor networks, a hierarchical sensor network system for data acquisition mine structure is presented in this paper. The architecture of the data collection network is divided into four layers: the data acquisition layer (Sensor layer), data aggregation layer (Sink layer), the bridge layer (Center layer) and ground control command center layer (GCCC layer).(2) Combined with the proposed four-layer network architecture of the data collection network, we made out a coal mine data acquisition strategy for sensor node localization based on RSSI. In this policy, sinks taking themselves as anchor node, they locate underground data acquisition sensor node.which is a good solution to solve the problem of underground sensor node localization in theory ,and it could reduce the positioning error.(3) This paper proposes a data aggregation node underground distribution density model. The model studies the relationship of the Sink node distribution density and its distance from the Center node, by deploying sink node reasonable in the bottleneck region of excessive energy consumption, it can well overcome the node energy consumption due to rapid death phenomenon, extending the network life cycle, then improve network security. Simulation results show that Sink node distribution density model can extend the life cycle of mine data collection sensor networks, laying a solid foundation for ensuring the sustainability of mine data collection and security. When the length of data collection region is much longer than the length of Sink node communication radius, the wireless sensor network life according to Sink's deployment density model, which is about twice to the wireless sensor network life according to Sink's uniform density model, and this simulation result basically close to the theoretical value.
