The Design And Implement Of Gprs-based Alert System For Fall Detection

With the advent of an aging society, "empty-nest families" will be a large number. Problems of older persons have become increasingly prominent and elderly health and care problems are in attracting widespread attention. Old persons in an accidental fall or the onset or progression of some disease are likely to lead to fracture or stroke falls, which would make the falling person in a "long time lying" state. At this point, lack of timely medical treatment would be likely to endanger life. Thus, it is urgent to design and develop some kind of remote alarm system for elderly fall detection, which can detect fall with a portable device and achieve real-time remote alarm and locate the incident.The feasibility and rationality for the GPRS and GPS technology to be applied to fall detection and alarm devices was studied and discussed in this paper. The relationship between human movement and acceleration was studied, and the fall detection algorithm of SMV threshold with inclination was promote to improve the detection algorithm, and the improved algorithm was tested on a test System with self-designed wireless acceleration collection device combined Mat lab, and the test result the improved algorithm could effectively distinguish ADL (Activities of Daily Life) and fall. The principle and design method for long-range real-time GPRS-based alarm system was focused on, and hardware design principle was given, and RTOSμC/OS-II was transplanted to ARM Cortex M3 - based MCU STM32F101 as the system development flat. GPRS Communication principle is expounded, and Software design principle of task classification is given Combined with the feature ofμC/OS-II. In addition, the implementation of hardware system for GPS-based location, GPS message format and GPS error data screening were given. Through research and design, GPRS-based fall detection prototype device which could realize fall detection and real-time remote alarm was made.
