Particle size is one of the most important features, to a large extent, study of particle size depends on the reliability of testing technology.The light scattering has been used to measure particle size in this paper.With the rapid development of science and technology, particle measurement technology is constantly updated and improved, which light scattering method integrates laser technology, modern optical technology, electronic technology and computer technology and light scattering method has many advantages: high speed; good reproducibility; wide measurement range; and no-destructibility and so on. The light scattering has been used to measure particle size in this paper.In this paper, Detector is designed using image processing technology and inversion of the particle size used Mie scattering theory (Mie theory) ,it is mainly divided into four parts:1. The study of light scattering theory: The paper chooses the current more authoritative Mie theory and studies the method of numerical calculation.Continued fraction is used when the size parameter is not more than 1000 and otherwise backward recurrence is used. Numerical calculation shows that the algorithm is efficient and reliable2. The detector is designed using image processing: It is very important for the particle analyzer to design and implement the detector. Now, the photovoltaic detector arrays or photodiode detector arrays is popular used, because of both of them have a good performance and stability. However, the particle analyzer is limited in promotion and application, because of expensive. So the low detector is gonging to make. I will do a research for this problem.Using image processing technique to design ldetector which is a new topic and a theoretical innovation in the world. The main of idea is to use the COMS cameras capture light scattering spectra of the image, and then using image processing techniques to design. An experimental system of optical detection which is based on Computer Image Processing Technique has been established. Experiments indicate that it is feasible. But the measurement range of device is restricted within a narrow sphere, which is needed to be studied and resolved.3. The computation of light energy and light scattering matrix: To compute light energy based on Self-designed detector. Light energy is equal to add up gray value of each ring of pixel. We establish Mie scattering matrix model.4. Inverse algorithm:The study has shown that it is a typical inverse problem through measuring scattered light intensity of particles to calculate the distribution of particles. Theory of inversion calculation is always the key and difficulty of laser particle analyzer, and it has not completely resolved yet. This paper discuss several algorithms of ill E = TW's algorithm. Based on advantages and disadvantages of various algorithms, I ultimately determine to use the Particle Swarm Optimization inversion algorithm. Based on this algorithm, we build mathematical model of Mie scattering and do computer simulation. The experimental results show that the algorithm could be successfully applied to inverse problem of light scatting with high stability in presence of random noise and low susceptibility to the type of distribution. But the speed and accuracy need further improve.This research has provided us with a new method for studying the light scatting of particle size, which is helpful to study the particle size.
