Archival documents directly record the information of social practice to understand the world and the transformation of the human history; it is a valuable historical and cultural wealth. The content of the literature is multiplicity. It relates to social and human fields, the carrier has varied forms; there are paper, film, tape, CD-ROM and etc. The type is also complex. It contents not only archives but also books, newspapers, audio-visual materials, heritage information and so on. Comprehensive collection and embedded research of literature is very important to the social sharing of resources, development planning and etc.The international advanced services of documents and archives are based on the use of community-oriented. It realizes universal centralized management, socialization and shared use. For this purpose,building an efficient and reliable digital platforms is very important.However, by the status of inland, the comprehensive literature management system is still blank. For the archival documents which have the most important and most valuable social resources, the construction is just started. The purpose of this research topic is to build a uniform standards and high-expansion archives information platform which do with mass society achieve resources data collection and management.In the course of the research, we propose approach of archives integrated management based on XML DB through analyzing the technologies of international heterogeneous data manage and integration technologies. Then we research the two main technologes of XML DB: NXD and XED. We focus on four key problems about storage and processing in mass archives data, and give the solutions. 1) The performance problem of processing massive archives data. The platform takes the XED Oracle as the database and uses technologies of XML type to resolve the performance problem. 2) The heterogeneity of system data. The platform designs a XML data engine to access and do with XML file. 3) The distribution of system data. The platform designs the data interface subsystem to receive and integrate heterogeneous data from different locations. 4) The social service problem of data. By providing functions of unified search and special library, the platform relieves the difficulty to serve the community.Base on the researching of the key technical, this article analysis the business and propose the new mode of business management. Then we define the functional requirements and non- functional requirements. Later, we do detailed design including software static logical design, software dynamic logical design and database design. Now the platform has been delivered and running online. The platform passed the pressure test with good performance, and reached the system requirements in the solution. Platform demonstrated good safety and stability with running. Platform realized comprehensive collection and management of massive literature and archives resources, and can build a variety of thematic knowledge base due to the current theme of social development. Also it can provide social services environment for the purpose of public service.
