Research And Application On Software Defect Analysis And Defect Prevention Technologies

With the development of the software industry, the increasing"competition pressure"and"maintenance fee"make enterprises recognize the importance of the software quality. Under this situation, it is significant to research on the technology of Defect Analysis and Defect Prevention. These two software quality methods give a guide to the companies and help them retrieve lots of economic benefits.For Defect Analysis and Prevention Technology are independent during the project life cycle, this paper gives two new models which are called Matrix Management Model and Defects Management Model. These models combine the technology of Defect Analysis and Defect Prevention and also have a capability to prevent defects. Because of this, the quality of software systems can be enhanced efficiently. During the different development phrases, according to the matrix calculating, the models recommend a proper defect analysis method and a kind of prevention technology. Choosing an appropriate prevention technology is able to promote developing, improve the quality of software and decrease the errors. In the article, it takes an optical fiber communication system for example. It proves the feasibility of Matrix Management Model and Defects Management Model by analyzing the experiment data.This paper first collects the theory of Defect Analysis and Defect Prevention, do research and discusses on the process of these two methods with the practical project experiment. Then, it gives us two new models Matrix Management Model and Defects Management Model by taking advantage of Defect Analysis and Defect Prevention technology. Next, it divides every process more detailed and integrates them again. At last, it proves the validity of the results by showing some figures.
