Workflow technology in the field of process automation management is a new research focus at present. It usually decomposes the task into several small task steps, according to the certain timing rules, to complete the tasks quickly and effectively. The core of management of process automation is workflow engine, which is the focus of the research currently.This thesis combines with the actual needs of enterprise, with indepth study on the domestic and international open-source workflow engine, designes the process automation management system based on.NET platform. The system accomplishes primarily the design and implementation of workflow engine, through the time control mechanism, puts forward a balanced task distribution algorithms, in order to improve the traditional architecture of the workflow engine, and solves the imbalance in the distribution of tasks, reduces the circulation time of the task and improves the work efficiency. The main module of this engine consists of the automatically generated form, judgement of the task nodes, task assignment, data storage and so on.It achieves the automation of workflow management, greatly increases the efficiency of enterprise staff. The engine, with B/S structure,uses the advantages of the developing models to provide users with a simple interactive interface.Through the data transaction processing technology to achieve concurrent data access control, it realizes the target which a lot of users can access to the data concurrently, and also ensures the data security and consistency.Firstly, this thesis introduces the workflow and process automation management system, and then describs in detail about the main supporting technologies of the workflow, focuses on the balanced task distribution algorithms and the time control mechanism. And it completes the design and implementation of workflow engine.Finally, the paper sums up the whole work.
