Using MDA In The Maintenance Of Integrated Information System On Criminal Investigation

In the software life circle of Management Information System (MIS), maintenance is the stage which is most invested and longest endured. From the beginning of system development to the end of system operation, the maintenance operation runs through the whole life circle of software. In one word, software maintenance and life of software is of the same phase. Along with the uprising and complication of software projects, maintenance is becoming more difficult gradually. Expensive maintenance cost and endless maintenance circle not only brings heavy laden to consumer, influences their degree of satisfaction, but also restricts the manpower and resources of software developing organization, which have no energy to develop new software. Therefore, innovation of effective, efficient, and inexpensive maintenance process is one of the most important impetuses to promote modern software engineer technical development.Using Model Driven Architecture (MDA) in software system development is of great maintainability. It is of low cost and high efficiency. This paper takes the maintenance of Integrated Information System on Criminal Investigation of Inner Mongolia Public Security Bureau as an example to introduce using MDA to maintain MIS system, which is of reference significance to the maintaining of other management Information system.
