ABAQUS is a engineering simulation software based on finite element method, which widely having been used in the field of aeronautics, astronautics, ships and civil engineering, with the great functionality in calculation and analysis. The task can be performed in ABAQUS/CAE, such as modeling, analysis, calculation and so on. While creating a accustomed application by combining its development interface, automatically running the progress and dealing with a great number of data.With the increasing complexities of modeling in engineering application, the development of the scale and scope has been changed from macroscopic to microscopic. It is a method of multi scales analysis for the braided structure, which is the representative volume element methods (RVE), which takes advantage of clear thought and simple and brief algorithm. However, it is really difficulty and inconvenience for users to change the size of model created, Even if, ABAQUS can automatically change the values of the parameters and adjust them, but only for the ones who could master its function and has the engineering background. To deal with the problems above, using Python as programmed language, by creating a kernel script which making the model of the microstructure of the braided type materials (RVE) by application the powerful function of the second development for ABAQUS. The progress of modeling automatically can be achieved by the parameter technology based on finite element method, introducing the Parameterized function of the representative volume element. Simultaneously, creating a graphical user interface, which reflects geometrical features and key parameters, designs the mechanism of human-computer interaction and automatically performs the model. In this interface, users can input the key parameters of a single fiber in the reinforcing fibers, and create the model of the microstructure of the braided type materials (RVE), which based on the handling with a great number of data. The method increases the efficiency in reconstruction and calculation. It has the broad prospects in engineering design to use the technology of second development and create the new user platforms. Facing users, the technology can meet the need of development in humanization and mercerization, which provides a new thought for scale-span analysis in the field of materials.
