At present, China's general upper secondary education is being implemented in unprecedented historic changes. The new course reform is a significant reform of China which is deepening of compulsory education and higher education, and comprehensively promoting quality education. Among the reform, the assessment of students for comprehensive quality determines the future development of the students, and it is linked with the College Entrance Examination. So it is the top priority of this reform and gets public concern. As provincial and municipal education managers,who make policies , they need to attach great importance to the implementation of assessment of students for comprehensive quality, and they often need to know and grasp the assessment situation of all the schools of province, then analyze the reasons for Grade Changes, predicting the trend ,and ultimately making the right decisions.However, from the current condition, evaluation system based on-line transaction processing system and data independent of all school students, so we can not comprehensively analyze the school's data flexibly. Therefore, there is an urgent need to use a new technology or means to resolve the problem of comprehensive and flexible analysis of the assessment of students for comprehensive quality from macro level.Based on the above conditions,this paper chooses the module of the assessment of students for comprehensive quality which is part of Evaluation of High School Students Development System researched by Ideal laboratory, Northeast Normal University, focusing on the application of OLAP technology to multi-dimensional and comprehensive analysis of assessment of students for comprehensive quality. The paper constructed OLAP multidimensional analysis model of assessment of students for comprehensive quality, combining with data warehouse technology and the new course reform. Then, achieved comprehensive analysis of assessment of several schools'students for comprehensive quality, making use of Mondrian OLAP server and the presentation layer tools JPivot, and showed out the results of the analysis with a multi-dimensional, dynamic, flexible way.The paper provided an effective solution to the problem of difficulty for provincial and municipal education administrators to comprehensively evaluated the assessment of students for comprehensive quality of all schools in the province.It plays a certain role in the practical application.
