Study Of Environmental Journalism Report On Xinjiang Daily(Chinese Version)

Environmental problems have become global universal existed target point. For instance, the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004, hurricane in 2005, sustained global warming in 2006, flood in 2007, tropical storm in Burma in 2008 etc.. Obviously, the environment on which we human beings rely for existence is suffering from threatening seriously.Xinjiang, as the richest resources province but a less developed area in China, has been listed on one of the 21st century economic development zone in China. The development of Xinjiang economy must take the road of sustainable development with resources and environment in face of the reality of intensive natural resources, backward social economy and frail ecological environment. We must make full use of the public opinion base ---" Xinjiang Daily", which is the only mainstream Party newspaper in Xinjiang, to publicize environmental protection and economic development effectively, to take on a responsibility of reflecting the current environmental situation in Xinjiang promptly, solving Xinjiang environmental problems practically and promoting the publish and implementation of environmental policies, laws and regulations feasibly.This paper makes a survey and research on all the news about Xinjiang environment which appeared on Xinjiang Daily (Chinese version) since Western Region Development of China (1999 - 2008). In the process of dealing with these materials, I make full use of related information, like news and media studies etc. to analyze the current report of Xinjiang environmental situation in " Xinjiang Daily" (Chinese version), to find out the problems existed in the coverage and provide with corresponding solution to them. This paper mainly tries to bring the Party newspaper into full play to supervise by public opinion, and to realize a harmonious development between Xinjiang news media and society through the study on the values of news report about environment.
