Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of information technology in recent years, communication has become an essential part in our daily life. As the core of communication network, switch plays a role which can not be replaced for the development of modern communication technology. Experiment can not only verify the theoretical knowledge, it is also the bridge from theory to practice and innovation. The Switch is a very practical course, and experiment is the key to learn it. Traditional switch experimental system, which provides students with a good confirmatory test platform, still has many deficiencies in training student's hands-on practice and innovation ability.This paper analyzes the priciples and characteristics of the existing switch experimental system after refering a large number of documents. A design of modern communication switch experiment system is given, which possesses the advantadges of modular, hierarchical, integrated and innovative. This paper introduces principles of exchange experimental system, compares the differences and characteristics between the actual products and experimental system, and then a switch experiment system is designed. This system has 8 modules with two universal structures of motherboard and blackboard. It not only can do switching experiments replacing traditional box-form structure, but also can perform as a core switching module in communication experiments which is operated in a cabinet. The hardware design is elaborated after the integral design. This design is closely integrated with the principles and applies the idea of modular, open-interface and redevelopment, which can accomplish several experiments form confirmation to innovation. Complished the hardware design, this paper presents the software design including control program, modified time slot generating program and friendly upper-computer manager program. According to the design, experimental items that can do in this system are given, which includes 8 signal experiments,4 comprohensive experiments,4 systematic experiments and 5 designing experiments. After testing and analizing the space-division and time-division switching, the experimental system design is correct, and its functions and performances meet the requirements.
