| Since 1960s, equipment fault diagnosis technology has been developing, which has experienced the stand-alone systems, the distributed systems and the web-based diagnostic systems. However, as the complexity of modern equipment, the variability of faults, as well as the trends of global manufacturing, fault diagnosis technology is still unable to meet the needs of today's society and business, and there are numerous of problems. Meanwhile, Grid was proposed in 1990s, and already has a large number of theoretis, and has a lot of examples of successful applications around the world. The emergence of Grid has brought a new method of fault diagnosis for complex equipment, which has been already reseached internationally. The intergration of Grid and fault diagnosis technology will become a new trend in the field of fault diagnosis.In this article, we have studied the early and the existing fault diagnosis techniques and their defects. And then, based on the Grid architecture, we buided Fault Diagnosis System Based on Grid, and proposed the architecture of this system, and reseached on the system principle. More important, the kernel and the key modules are in-depth researched. Finally, we designed the system module and programmed some function modules of the system.In this article, we studied the early and the existing fault diagnosis techniques and their defects, and researched the distribution of resouces and services in Grid system, and with it, we proposed the architecture of fault diagnosis system based on Grid. Because of the large-scale and distributed characteristics of the Grid system, we designed a Client/Master/Service (C/M/S) mode to replace the traditional C/S model. Based on the characteristics of faults data and processing of data analysis, we proposed Data Management (DM) mode and Task Management (TM) mode. GridFTP protocol which is used in Grid environment and the BitDew programmable environment are discussed. On this basis, we builded the system mode, and expounded the C/M/S mode workflow, and exlained the diagnosic process in detail. Finaly, in the BitDew programmable environment, we designed and programmed the Grid Portal, User Management, Data Management and Task management modules.This system is an organic unity of equipment users, equipment manufactures and some research institutions. It enables the process of fault diagnosis become quick and easy and the equipment work more efficient, so that it can reduce the production costs and the risk of business operations. Furthermore, it does a favor for the scientific research work of fault diagnosis. It could provide the raw fault data to scientists and a test platform for fault diagnosis. Besides, it helps the manufactures improve service quality to saticfy the users. |
