Increasing proportion of hydroelectricity in electric power system recently, stabilization of hydropower unit analysis becomes more and more important. Because of the vibration is the important factor that influences the security and reliability of hydropower unit, the research in the vibration fault of hydropower unit is enhanced. The traditional fault diagnosis by measuring and estimating turn to using intelligent technology and constructing expert system to solve fault diagnosis problem, moreover it can point the key of fault exactly. Because that complexity and lacking of samples of fault, simplex intelligent system can not fit the demand of the fault and influence the maintenance and state repairing. The construction of integrated intelligent hydropower unit vibration fault diagnosis is needed, it can collect intelligent the systems of the hydropower unit fault diagnosis as more as possible and build the grid. The modern grid tech technology make system to fault diagnosis service. localization of simplex system can be avoided the diagnosis knowledge can be shared, discovered, mined, managed and cooperated each other. Parallel inference is implemented on grid, which improve speediness and veracity. The fault diagnosis grid promote the development of fault diagnosis system.Based on the National Science Fund project and the Science and Technology Creative Project for Middle and Small Corporation, this paper carries out a general and systemic study on construction of vibration fault diagnosis grid, theory fundamental, knowledge discovery, knowledge engineering and the implement of grid service. The paper's main contents include:(1) Making use of correlative theory of intelligent fault diagnosis, the construction, characteristic, advantage of integrated intelligent fault diagnosis are analyzed. The relationship with the intelligent technology and fault of the hydropower unit is demonstrated. The intelligent theory is expatiated the mechanism of intelligent fault diagnosis(2) From the angle of system, knowledge engineering is set up on hydropower unit fault diagnosis system. Based on knowledge engineering, the frame of the knowledge Grid is constructed, knowledge expression is turned non-criterion to web semantic expression which has characteristic of ontology. This Change make the computer understand document and data which contain web semantic expression. Furthermore the various intelligent systems are integrated to form uniform expression of knowledge unit.(3)On the base of knowledge unit expression, the dynamic concept Lattice is established on grid. The heuristic Width priority search arithmetic is researched. Graph knowledge is mined through the concept of distance and fuzz Lattice Degree of Nearness. The model of knowledge discovery on grid is formed by using knowledge search and mine's theory and arithmetic.(4)Knowledge inference which suit to grid framework is designed based on principle of Knowledge engineering and grid. Moreover this paper uses uncertain inference to analyze knowledge inference system in fault diagnosis, and then a model of hybrid inquiry heuristic inference is brought forward.(5)Some modern information technique is adopted to build the framework of hydropower unit fault diagnosis grid include Globus, Internet, Agent, Xml, Web service. The system is intelligent, flexible and expandable, which can be a grid information platform for complicated fault diagnosis.
