Design And Implement Of Web-based Freshmen's Management System

With the development of computer networks and information technology, information management system is applied more widely in every walk of life. Colleges and universities are the national education frontiers, almost all of whose functional departments have set up information management system to deal with their daily work .However, with the rapid development of software technology, information management software flaws gradually emerged: first, the software development technology is in aging and its implementation is inefficient. Second, the software does not make a system and the independent workflows of each department and low integration level result in difficultly unified management.In response to the features of the freshmen management, this paper studied the development of the student's registration management system of Daqing Petroleum Institute, put forward a web-based freshmen management system, and implemented it. It describes the features of the web-based information management system, and on this basis, according to the school's actual situation, defines software needs, and implemented systems'design, coding, testing and maintenance progressively with top-down and layers of refinement software engineering methods.As it turns out that this system—the web-based freshmen management system, adopting the combination of the new asp.net development and Access database—is meaningful for improving efficiency of freshmen management . Web site publishing environments using windows 2003 + IIS6.0 platform can dramatically improve the stability and reliability.
