Waveform Design Of MIMO Radar Based On Hybrid Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm

MIMO radar is a new kind of radar that combine multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)technique with radar systems.There are two models of the MIMO radar now:the transmit diversity MIMO radar model which proposed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Lincoln Laboratory,the statistical MIMO radar model which proposed by Bell Labs.The transmit diversity MIMO radar trasmits mutually orthogonal waveform firstly.Then,matched filter is used to separate transmit signals from target reflection.DBF technology is applied to form receiving beam and equivalent transmitting beam finally.Comparing with the traditional radar,the MIMO radar has better performance of anti-interception, detection low speed targets and weak target in strong-clutter scene.The improvements that just mentioned in the MIMO radar system are mainly contributed to the special way that the beam formed,the usage of the mutually orthogonal waveform and flexible signal processing way. Therefore, mainly research of this article is beamforming-technology of transmit diversity MIMO radar.The principal tasks are as follows:1.Research and analyze the basic principles and characteristics of MIMO radar,as well as its advantages compared to the traditional phased array radar.2.Study the orthogonal design method of polyphase coded signals.Analyze the feasibility of applying intelligent algorithms to the signal design and design orthogonal polyphase coded signals using the ant colony algorithm.Ant colony algorithm and integration of genetic algorithms are combined to generate a new intelligent algorithm which is explored to the design of orthogonal polyphase coded signals.Stimulations show that our method is more efficient than that other methods.3.Analyze the effect of parameters on the signal autocorrelation and cross-correlation,such as the code length,the signal number and phase number in the design of orthogonal polyphase coded signals.
