The quality inspection and damage research have important significance in grading of fruits.At present, the fruit quality grading is mainly based on physiological properties, electrical properties, optical properties and lack of intuitive visualization techniques support .This paper doing research on the fruit of MRI-based volume visualization techniques.Mainly research work is:( 1 ) The system established fruit MRI image sequence acquisition scheme. In the MRI acquisition,Different imaging modalities of the images have different characteristics. According to the MRI imaging features and fruits image signal, the system established MRI fruit image sequence acquisition program .(2)The system established image filtering, segmentation, image interpolation pre-processing program. Image preprocessing and image segmentation is the necessary preparation of three-dimensional reconstruction.Image segmentation results will directly affect the effect of three-dimensional reconstruction of the fruit. In this paper, segmentation and region-based segmentation were used in image processing applications, and the core organs of the fruit were successfully segmented.(3)The Improved ray casting algorithm speed up the three-dimensional volume rendering reconstruction speed. Volume rendering algorithm can get high-quality image of three-dimensional reconstruction, but it needs to traverse the data fields in the space where each sample point was calculated.This paper proposed a template-based ray casting algorithm and add a base plane in voxel space which was sent from the base model. Multiple times discretization called was avoid in the three-dimensional DDA algorithm,it reduced the computation of light projection.(4)This paper briefly introduced the system design, implementation, algorithm flow, and discussed the implementation process of key technologies.Finally,a MRI-based three-dimensional visualization system of the fruits was achieved in the Windows operating platform with VTK. A number of groups test was designed. The optimize overall efficiency after improvement was 47%, need not to upgrade the hardware .
