Focusing on the high-and low-level applications of microprocessors, the thesis develops two embedded wireless devices, involving an embedded wireless interface based on 51-series single-chip microprocessor and an ARM-based wireless conference terminal.Including a transmitter and a receiver, the developed wireless interface can transform the wired mouse and keyboard into wireless equipments. While AT89C2051 and CY7C68013 processor platform are used to implement the transmitter and receiver respectively, the wireless interface employs RF2410 digital wireless transceiver module ro provide wireless communication capability. In the thesis, both the hardware and software design of the wireless interface are described. The hardware part includes designs of keyboard and mouse interface, wireless transceiver module interface, voltage conversion circuit, E2PROM circuit and PCB design. Software part involves the interface functions design of wireless module, and MCU firmware design of transmitter and receiver. The test results show that using the wired keyboard and mouse can be successfully converted into a wireless one through the developed wireless interface and the maximum distance is 15 meters. Besides, as connected using USB interface, the wireless interface is plug and play.Based on S3C2410 processor platform with ARM920T kernel, the wireless conference terminal uses a wireless network adapter with USB interface for wireless communications. Employing the embedded Linux system as the operating system, the terminal uses Qtopia4 as the terminal desktop environment. The thesis describes the software implementation from the bottom to the top, including the environment establishment, BootLoader porting, Linux kernel porting, wireless network adapter driver porting, root-file system generation, QT/Embedded4 environment installation, Qtopia4 desktop system porting, UDP-based LAN chat-room program developing and so on. Besides, the relevant principles and implementation processes are elaborated. The test results show that the terminal equipment can provide a graphical user interface and support for touch-screen operation. In the wireless local area network environment, two terminals can achieve information communication successfully through the developed LAN chat-room program.In the thesis, two kinds of embedded wireless devices are developed. The wireless interface that can converts the wired PS2 devices into wireless ones are developed successfully and the development of the wireless terminal wich is basically realized in the extension part provides the foundation for the throughout realization of the wireless information conference system.
